Students who have been awarded this digital badge must already be Green Belt Certified.

URI offers a personalized mentorship from a URI College of Business Professor. Each participant will present a work problem approved by their employer and mentor, ensuring it can be completed within 12 months. Employers are expected to provide a supportive team.

The mentor will regularly engage with participants, either virtually or in person. If project site visits are necessary, the participant must cover travel expenses for the mentor.

Both the participant and their employer must approve this agreement to ensure commitment to the participant's success in earning the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. All projects are subject to a non-disclosure agreement to protect sensitive business information.

The total cost for this program is $12,000, with a $2000 non-refundable deposit due upon signing the program contract and the submission of the registration form.
